I would really like to take my horse cubbing this season, but I am not sure if we are ready.
He is is a 6 year old ex-racer and I have owned him for 8 months, although I havn't been able to do much with him due to poor feet, I am really starting to get more confidence with him and I am starting to trust him more and more.

He gas been on a funride before (not with me) and he wasn't fussed by the horses and just pootled roung calmly.
Yesterday out on a hack, we met the hounds being exercised and he wasnt bothered by it at all, he is soooo chilled, its like he's been doped!

I am quite experianced and have been hunting before, I took my last horse for his first time, its just a confidence thing. I am sure he will be fine, but I just don't know, and would apreaciate your opinions and any advice, thanks. :)

If you feel confident on him, then now is your chance - most hunts are out doing early morning hound exercise at the moment, quiet meets in farm yards, not many out, never far from the meet - perfect for educating a baby!

We've been out three times in the last week, and there are two or three girls bringing babies out.

Go for it - if you're not sure then give the Secretary a ring, s/he will be able to let you knwo when/where meets are an possible find you a "nanny" to keep you company too.

Have fun!
