Mine certainly does. Today he sat on my lap facing me, and put his paws around my shoulders, 'hugging' me and licking my face. Bless him

Yes - mine do without a doubt.
Especially my springer spaniel. He is so in tune with how I am feeling and knows exactly when to give me a cuddle.

Yes I just have to look at him slghtly sadly and I get a collie in my face 
Mind you, we do use emotional blackmail with the poor beast, my mother and I sit at opposite ends of the room whining and make him choose who to come to he comes to me first, then flies across the room to lick her, then back to me

Only time Dylan still jumps up is if I have come home from a bad day at work or something. A Dylan cuddle solves most things

Yes my dog lives all my moods with me, poor thing! He is so emotionally attached to me I think its a bit unhealthy for him sometimes, especially after rows with OH 
I find he's the best reason to pick myself up if I'm feeling fed up, just so I don't worry him for too long

If I am upset, the little un always run after me, and licks every little tear until my face is dry. If I am not crying but just down she'll rest with her head on my shoulder. She's very loyal to me and very rarely leaves me side in the house. She's currently laid next to me :
And then the big un, while she's just a goof. I like to think she knows i am upset, but I doubt it. She does her best to cheer me up though and it always works
