As the title says really!

I have the most handsome gelding yet am somewhat of a butface myself. Think of those couples where one is a stunner and the other is, well, lets just say not so much so. I used to make sure my horse was turned out spotless yet I always looked like a major scruff bag even at shows!

I fell off once at a show, few bucks when I didn't expect them :o my horse just stopped and looked at me in disgust, looked at the other horses being ridden then looked down at me again as if to say 'geeze luv pick yourself up'!

If we can feel disappointed in our darling g-g's from time to time do you reckon they get embarrassed by us and our riding? :D

Gosh, yes all the time out in public.

On our own, we are fine together. We potter about and get on very well.

Our showing or training side is a different matter all together. I seem to have lost my ability to ride completely with any style or finesse! Sack o' tatties was the last description given.

I am sure my horse is very embarrassed so we tend not to be seen in public much anymore!

I'm sure she is regularly embarrassed by me - having hugs and kisses on the nose is Sooooooo not cool!! I'm not sure she really has any right to be embarassed by my appearance though as she rolls in her own muck - I do not do that and am at least clean! Her rugs and tack are much smarter than any clothes I own though!

Oh course Brego is embarrased by me! I'm a middle aged woman who plucked him out of his leisurely lifestyle (Which consisted of sleeping, eating, and a little bit of logging) and forced him to become a sports horse extaudenaire!
I imagine that if he had the necessary thumbs he would sneak into the house at night and kill me (or break into the feed room and gorge himself until eventing was no longer possible!)

Oh for sure, when I came off at the navy champs a couple of weeks ago, apparantly my horse was stood in the corner of the arena facing the wall!!! I'm sure he must of been thinking, oh my, I'm a great showjumper, and she still manages to bloomin come off!!!

Glad it's not just me!

I have to confess that recently whilst trotting my welsh d colt up in hand I ran so fast that I tripped myself up, scared the shite outta my poor little man who bolted. I refused to let go tho and was dragged for about 300 yards before he finally stopped and turned round and looked at me with a really calm and cute expression like what you doing down there?!

My trousers had big holes in them, knees were bleeding, o the shame.

To be fair tho welsh d's don't half motor in there trot!

Flynn, who I bought from henryhorn and who a number of users of met, is THE most handsome horse, an absolute stunner. I, however, have the figure of a rugby ball.

Whether he's embarrassed or not I couldn't tell you!

Dom took one look at me and decided I was a blonde numpty who could not be trusted to look after a dead frog and that, in future, he was in charge.
Although, in fairness, he thinks that of most people!

My mare used to do that 'god, you're embarrassing' if I hit the deck and just stand looking the other way until I was back on board.

It's only my lovely old boy who has ever made me feel at least adequate - but everything is done at his pace (flat out) and I'm expected to just join in and enjoy it.

:D

If they felt emotions like that the yes :D I'm sure my lad roll's his eyes at me when I'm on him, probably get's sick of me nattering in his lug hole :D

All the time my eldest highland hates attention and people however likes me, i cuddle her and show her up all the time esp when she is showing how mean she can be to people then i walk up and show that she is soft at times!

YES!!!! all the time :)
I jump off if 'I' come across something scary, Ayla looks at me like "mam grow up get on I`m not a wimp" :D
We done some schooling last week for the first time, and Ithought she was fab, my Yo (bhs instructor) watched us yesterday and apparently Ayla is rubbish :D oopsie....
I also make her wear pink which she isnt a fan of!

yes, mine is constantly embarassed by me!! he spends a lot of time with his ears fixed forwards as if he's going "lalalalalalaaa I can't hear you lalalalalaaa"

and if I fall off and he considers it my fault he just looks at me as if to say "well, what are you doing sitting there?!" if its his fault he looks all sheepish and behaves like he gets beaten!

frequently i am a total scruff bag who smells of cow wears unflattering purple jodhpurs and quite often manages to fall flat on my face usually into more cow **** but he loves me cause i give him his tea! (well maybe not loves, but, well hates me marginally less!)

Dylan is continually mortified by me. So much that he has developed a facial expression that I'm certain is the equine equivalent of rolling your eyes, and he uses it a lot :p

Oh definitely. I brought his new rug back from Derby House last week and put it on him to try it - I'm not sure a pony could look more resigned to his fate. If he could roll his eyes he would have done! This is said rug: http://www.derbyhouse.co.uk/Equestr...erby+House+Pegasus+Print+Turnout_401-0066.htm

I think he knew he was in trouble when we started hacking out in a bright yellow "Tigger" saddle cloth. Just to complete the picture I'm 26, he's a 13.2hh Fell pony. Having never had a pony of my own as a child I'm making up for lost time. :D :D :D

I love the "what are you doing" look they give you when you fall off.

I embaress Herc by singing and dancing when riding and taking him for walks, he head butted me in disgust last time. Teehee.
Tho to be fair, he embaresses me too by spookin at FA when we're passin people, so its only fair. :D

I fell off our 14.3 cob about 100 yds from home when she spooked in walk at a rolled up carpet some-one had put out for collection. She sort of tripped down a rut. I slid down her shoulder because I wasn't concentrating. She gave me a quick glance to make sure I was alright and then steadfastly looked the other way as I hauled myself up off the floor by clinging to her leg. I could almost hear her saying 'Who is this woman? She's certainly not with me!'

I'm fairly sure when I'm hugging Kelly and kissing her neck and she's backing off that she's thinking "get. off!!" :o not cool!
And there was that time I fell off her right outside the school into a massive puddle...
And then that time I plaited all her mane to keep her cool....(street cred loss much..!)
Oh, and every time we put her out in a socking great black grass muzzle!! - HOW can she keep up the leadership of the field in that!?

So fairly sure I embarrass her as much as she embarrasses me :P but it's like a game...we love each other really!!

OH HELL YEH!

I can see the 'one ear forward one ear back' expression he gives when he looks at me after ive done something stupid!

:D:D Love him nontheless! :D:D

hahaha this is funny
As a novice my poor cob had put up with so much and been so patient with me bless him - i think hes most embarrassed when i sing when im riding
Ive heard it clears your nerves but my choice of song is not very popular with him - Hickory dickory dock lol :)

I'm pretty sure my boy has thought once or twice "ohh gosh what is she doing, just sit still and shutup"

I wonder if they laugh at us with there friends when we fall over or something, like when we laugh at them when they do something funny :p

Always! In, out, round the stable, out in public - when we get to go etc, etc, etc.

I have 5 and haven't ridden in nearly a year, dont get to go anywhere (not that it matters!) - have them at home.

They humour me cos they love me and I give them nice treats, make sure they are all well and their every need catered for. (ok poss not in the case of the stallion! LOL)
