do you turn out in your arena?

Mine go out in it in the winter, just to save the fields. They only stand about eating haylage so they may as way stand in there and eat haylage. It is wood chip surface and it is at home so i can do as i please!

Saves them getting mud fever too and one of them hates the mud!
 
Yes, mine go out in the school in the day all winter as I only have 3 acres and the fields are on clay so would be ruined in the wet. I have electric fence all round and they go out for half a day each. The school is 20x60 and its split into two so they have an area each. I put hay and water out there and clean it up each day. Its also levelled each week.

Its my own yard though so I have no one to answer to. It also means I never have to brush off a load of mud!
 
We can't turn out in either of the outdoor schools because they don't have a fence, but we can use the indoor school as much as we like as it's no good for riding in.
