Do you use a bates innova with the sticky out knee/thigh rolls???

My mate wants to buy one as she has a big bumpy horse and she is tiny, size 8 ######## (how we became friends is a long story).
We (as most of you know) are buried in rural spain and she has no way of trying one, but will have to get someone to come fit it etc, pennies etc, from the UK.
So do you rate them, extended kneeblocks?
Any alternatives?????

I suggested glue and a few ropes but she wasn't impressed.

We inherited one at work. I have ridden 4 different types of horses in it and found it the most comfortable on a big 17.3hh German warmblood.
It was horrible on a bouncy, active, 16.2hh Welsh x tb type.
My boss loves it on her big 17.1hh Polish warmblood, but isn't so keen on it on the 16hh, high action, Andalusian.
Both me and my boss are average size with thighs though.
