I am looking into getting a weatherbeeta wick dry cooler rug, to use when i bath my welsh D or after schooling and i wondered, if anyone has one? what are they like? And do most people put a cooler rug on there horse when bathing or after a hard schooling or do you just let them dry naturally as wasn't sure whether to definately get one or not. Thanks xx

Depends really. If the air temerature is warm - then I don't.

But at the moment I do. I have three different weights - but I find that my towling one is the most versitile.

I would. After schooling (if a bit sweaty) I would put on a sweat rug and also walk the horse around till it cooled off.

Yep. Mine was bathed at the weekend and had his Coolex and then a fleece and then his stable rug on to keep him warm and dry him off!! Find the cooler rugs invaluable

I use a Masta waffle weave type one in the summer and a Weatherbeata fleece with a neck in the winter. YO swears by her Thermatex but my budget doesn't run to one of those!

Yes. I use my Thermatex & will walk around for a short while if she's had a hard schooling session.

I usually use one from about October time until March/April depending on how cold or warm it is. It's been extra cold this year so cooler is still in use!

Yes I have a comfort zone lapel fleece that is great for after baths or wet rags on cold days and hard work, in the summer I use this old waffle rug I got off ebay it is my favourite rug as it looks really 70's and its really light so you can use it if its hot to travel them in.
