probally should be in CR but never get much notice in there :o :p
just wondered do you use the same boots at home and for a show for your horses? iv seen youtube videos and people have got all theses boots expenive boots on just doing a bit of schooling so do you just wash them and then take them to shows or do you have an good expenive brand for schooling aswell as showing?
cause ebs has a £5 pair of tendon boots off ebay for schooling and work at home :o and then jw ones for shows and i was told NEVER to use my show ones for home riding :)

IMHO why would you want your horse to have a lower level of protection at home, when things are probably more likely to go wrong, than out at competition?

use my soft flatwork boots and sport protection splint soft boots at front, only because she has splint and dont want to rub it and also a lump so dont want to rub that, they are lovely and i really like them, for competitions i used my eskadron tendon boots and eskadron fetlock boots :D

So far we have only competed at dressage and done a little showing, so no boots at home or competing (she has never (touch wood!) managed to catch herself and she isn't shod so I don't think she can do herself as much damage.
We are starting on lateral work so am considering a set of brushing boots for home and warm up use (liking the eskadron neoprene ones!). We plan on being out doing a little unaff sj, for that she will have xc boots at home and competing - the same set that I also use for lunging as she has a silly five mins at the start of each session (they are premier equine ones)! I don't boot for hacking either as we don't jump while hacking.
I won't have another set for competing, since I don't have a money tree down the end of my garden!!

I have different boots for at home but mostly just because over the years i've bought new ones and kept the old ones for home use. I don't think the older or cheaper boots offer less protection i just think it's nice to have a smart set for competing. In fairness if i was being filmed with the intention of putting a video on youtube i'd probably have my smart stuff on.

I have 3 pairs of Woof Wear Brushing boots for use at home and a Pair of front Tri-Zone Equilibrium for home use. I have two sets so I can wash one lot and use another as I ride in a field and they are white! not the best combination

I have a pair of Kentaur Easy Jump Tendon Boots for Jumping at home.

And for shows I have John Whitaker Tendon and Fetlock

I never jumped enough to have lots of tendon boots, but I owned 2 sets - one Sabre leather set & one Tri-zone set, so they got used for everything. Because even if I competed in SJing I would only jump once/twice a week, I wouldn't feel the need for more than say 3 sets.... and I'd compete in whatever I liked!

I've got one set of boots, which fit both of my horses, they share them, and they are used for home and competitions! Have lasted very well :)
