I'll start with the not so bad news.......
Had the vet to look at Murphy's huge leg, he *thinks* it is an infection, so has left me with lots of antibiotics. If no improvement or it gets worse they will x-ray, but the vet said he is confident it is only a nasty infection, and fingers crossed there is no fracture
!
...........Now onto the bad news.........
Colin (rising 6yo WB) hasn't felt 'right' for a while now
, but having had 1 vet and 2 different physio's all tell me he is fine, i've just tried to put it out of my mind and carry on as normal. However the other day he felt very stiff and really 'wonky' to ride, so decided that seeing as I was getting the equine vet out to Murphy I would get a second opinion on Colin. After being trotted up, flexion tests and lunged the vet agreed with me that Colin was lame on his right hind. As there is no outward sign of anything untoward, other than this vague lameness, and it has been going on for a while poor Colin is going to Horsepital for 3 or 4 days for a full lameness work up
. Vet really doesn't know what is wrong, but did mention OCD
.
So after all that bad news the one bit of good news is that Jem is now entered for the Badminton Grassroots Championships
, so now just need to keep her injury free...................
