Not riding, but when its cold and you are mucking out/doing outdoor work? If so what do you wear? Is warmth/comfort more important than looks?

Just curious, I wear a musto beany which looks rediculous on me but is sooo warm I don't care :D

nope ;)

Id say its because im just hardcore like that but in reality they drive me crazy lol, get way too hot and fiddle with it and fiddle more and then again, until i get sick of it and chuck it in the back of my tackroom. Same with scarves too, its no wonder im cold all the time :D

I find hats too hot but I love my mark todd ear warmers! stop me getting earache in those bitter winds and keep you a bit warmer but not too warm, if that makes sense

I've been wearing my riding hat all the time if I'm riding since I got a pair of ear warmery things to attach to them :D It's very helpful since I normally hit my head in the hay barn / tack room at least twice a day! I wouldn't if I had anything lengthy to do, like muck out etc as I'd boil :p

Yes, I have a ridiculous beanie too. When it's pulled down over my ears I look like I'm off to rob something. When it starts to relax upwards I look completely gormless.

Nothing looks as stupid as turning blue with cold for the sake of appearances, though :D

Always in winter & on cold, wet summer days as well. Can't understand the wierdo's that don't! Even forget to take mine off when I get home sometimes!

Yup...when it's really cold, didn't use to wear one, or gloves but I'm getting old and feel the cold now :D Bit of a pain though, when I'm poo picking I get too warm so take it off and put it on the fence then pain in the butt pony steals it, kills it then hides the evidence!

I have a lovely new Kingsland headband that my best mate got me for Christmas & I've lived in it since. Before that I was wearing last seasons Kingsland headband & a really old Rambo one. I find headbands much better than hats & they still keep my ears warm without messing my hair up too much!

Not usually at the yard, I get too hot. Don't wear scarf or gloves either. I do wear a hat and scarf when walking about outside though. Yard is American barn style so very little wind.

I have a Musto deer stalker style with faux fur inside.

I find I can't tye my hair up with a hat on and then when I take it off I look a right moose! But I don't mind too much - Neddy doesnt care what I look like.

I used to always wear a hat in winter and a baseball cap in the summer. Love my hats! :) however, the past couple of winters my hairs grown loads and I tie it up, can't stand it flapping about by my neck, so if I wear a hat in winter I look like a dinosaur! Plus it just sits on the top of my head! I now religiously wear a head band/ear warmer thingy! Dislike having cold ears, gives me headaches! Still wear a baseball cap in the summer though!

Yes! A, apparently  , horrible purple fleece one :D :D

Most people hate it on sight, but it keeps me warm and pulls down nicely round my ears.

Over the years people have bought hats for me, to try and stop me being such a fashion victim :D. But whilst they are nice hats, they don't fit like The Purple Hat does :D

So long as I have The Hat on, l end up mucking out etc. in short sleeves  :D

I have a faux fur hatband, a faux fur trapper hat and a Horsewear hat for winter wear.

I tend to year a cap in the summer - but more for vanity to hide sweaty hat hair after riding!

The yard where I work is very exposed so I wear a beanie all the time as they stay on when its windy and keep me warm. During the summer I wear a baseball cap when its not too windy (hate chasing them when they blow off) and the sun is out. Comfort is more important than what it looks like to me!
