Do you wear sunscreen when you ride?

With the weather now actually giving us a summer, do you wear sun screen on your face, arms ( and other bits exposed to the sun) when you're riding? Bits of me are starting to look browner which is no bad thing!

I didn't when I rode yesterday morning and suffered sunstroke in the afternoon and had a bad night - far too hot out now

Yep, generally! I burn fairly easily though ... Looking quite brown a la mo x

No but someone should make jods that you can tan through like the swimming cossies. As my legs are than white you could class them as hi viz x

I wear sunscreen all the time, even though I have dark skin and tan at the merest glimpse of sunshine. My moisturiser has sunscreen combined with it.

Always and all year round. Don't go with less than SPF 15 on my face, from end winter SPF 50. I have naturally white skin and I assume I would burn easily, though I've never tested that lol. Generally sport a lovely tan though as always outside. sun screen doesn't stop that.

Yes if I'm going to be out for a while, and while the sun is as strong as it is at the mo.

I do have the typical rider tan though, really tanned back of my neck, arms and shoulders pretty tanned, legs... White as a sheet.

i wear suncream if im on the yard in the day, so if i ride it stays on If I ride in the evening I dont

Yep! I have never tanned in my life, my skin is just toooooo fair. I've been properly burnt at the end of October before

I've never put on sunscreen to ride, but then I never put any on ever in this country! I do get burnt sometimes but I try to be careful. Am rather surprised by this amazing weather we've been having - 29 degrees up here in NE Scotland today, very very odd! We dont see the sun that much

yes I do normally I burn really easily! The horse I ride seems to like the smell too, as whenever I put sunscreen on - he does have a habbit of turning his head around and smelling, whether Im next to him on the ground or in the saddle!

I don't- but my horse does on his lovely white nose! Factor 50 for him, shorts and a vest top for me to avoid the typical horse rider tan... it's working a treat!
