My horse has been on boxrest for the last week as he has a nasty cut on his hindleg, he's been fine up until this afternoon. He's been trying to savage everyone who walks past his box, he even went for me while I was in his stable too, he recoiled in horror once he realised what he'd done and "said sorry" but it's so unlike him. He has lot's in his stable to play with so he doesn't get bored. I'm hoping that he was just having an off moment and that he'll be back to himself tomorrow. :(

Yes! When he's told off. He sulks in the corner like a little boy.
When we are outside his stable and not showing him attention he will happily throw whoever is closest to him or nip there are as to say "im here you know"

Your boy is probably bored. Its a big change being confind to a stable 24/7 when hes prob used to being out with his friends during the day/night. Im sure when hes sound again he will be back to his normal self.

Yeah all the time Kelly has off days! Just yesterday she kept attempting to boot out - just kicking the floor in a temper, she knew I wouldn't be happy if she actually did it at me!
Don't worry - it will just be an off day for him. We had months of box rest and a good few tantrums :)
