Do your riding boots match your tack?!

About to buy some Ariat Bromonts and can't decide on colour. Have always had black boots before but I now have brown tack and am wondering if it would be better to match? I have a green/brown tweed jacket for dressage/showjumping and only do low level.

Just wondering what is the norm....do people match or just not care?

Also has anyone bought any Ariat Bromonts recently that can point me to a good bargain? They seem to be around the £225 mark....

I've got the black but always wanted the brown!

What disciplines do you do? if it's eventing and you wear tweed, I think it looks really smart but I don't think it looks quite as nice with navy :)

I only do dressage and showjumping at the moment but am hoping to try a bit of eventing later this year / next year. I totally agree on the brown and navy combo not being so nice... I can't decide!!

Can I ask though - did your Bromonts come up true to size in the foot? I have read somewhere that they come up large...

Al has brown tack and then both brown and black boots- brown for hunting (and maybe eventing- she can't decide if it looks right!)and schooling, and black for competing... Both look good!

I got the insulated ones and I'm a pretty standard 5 and I would agree with the above that if anything, they come up slightly snug :)

I think brown boots can look really good but defo not with a navy show jacket. I've seen a professional show producer/rider rock up in an RoR class in brown boots and they looked brilliant on a bay hoss.
On the size thing with Ariats, i'm a size 7 but i fitted the size 6 better and i haven't skinny lady feet!

I'm spoilt so yes!!!

I have the waxed chocolate bromonts that go with my brown tack & green tweed for hunting/eventing/jumping

Then a nice pair of Tucci black dressage boots, kept purely for dressage with black tack and navy jacket.

My every day ones (not bromonts) are brown like my tack but are not smart enough for competing so dont wear them for that but if I had brown bromonts I'd wear them with tweed as others have said. My competition ones (ariat gaiters and some other make boots) are black though and look equally smart with brown tack.
