Two of mine havent, nor have any others in the field but my new 6yo has got alot of it left and doesnt seem to be shifting it.

Shes on Low Cal balancer, and is up to weight.. should i be worried?

Mine's only just lost the last of hers this week; she's late losing hers every year, but the good thing is that she's also slow to get her winter coat.
What breed is your new mare?

My Sec A has stil go bit of his, I think native horses take longer to lose their winter coats. Younger horses take longer too. My friend had a pony when were kid that they had to clip in may every year as he never lost his coat; appearently it is called Hairy Pony Sindrome(sp)!

My shettie still has plenty of hers, she usually loses it in late August before it starts growing again in mis-sept

Shes a Sec D.. and previously was rugged alot by her old owners so i dont think her winter coat has ever actually grown before.

Im debating clipping as shes getting so sweaty.

Mine is a welsh x, and I'm sure they take longer to lose their coats than some other breeds... I've just not been able to prove it yet!

If she's really sweaty, and you're not going to show her then I'd clip

I would def clip her if she's uncomfortable, that's why they shear sheep. Apparently the rate at which a horse loses their coat is dependant on the hours of sunshine rather than the actual temperature.
