It's not my breed, but I've heard of the Pride of Russia and Del Diamante kennels, there's some back massing on the former on the male's pedigree. It mostly looks like show breeding because of the titles.
There's some working titles in the second generation of the female and the father's father has a BH.
Would like to see a lot more health results.
Both export pedigrees were issued in Serbia. Just for guidance and not related to these individuals, the IDC, parent club of the doberman breed, had to do a lot of tightening up (insisting on working titles and health tests conducted in country of residence/country the dog was born in) because of fraud with health tests and titles in Serbia a few years ago. I was told that by a top European breeder/exhibitior/judge.
We also had some issues in my own breed. Hopefully things have improved now.

A docked puppy won't be allowed to do some FCI activities, including showing.

You'd be better asking a breed club for a more detailed look.

Have we ruined dobermans ? They don’t seem anything like the dogs they used to be.
They are very like Weims in their development Bonny and go through a stage when young of looking rather lumpy and graceless. Feet look huge , legs stumpy and knobbly, and stomach's rather unformed and straight. Photo suggests a Dobe under a year and although I couldn't say if the bloodline is good or bad , he will look very diferent in a few more months Nice head and ears , and i'm thinking the rest will probably follow :)

Is that not illegal in the uk?
I believe it is here in ireland

Not exactly

The Irish Kennel Club is a full FCI member.

Cropped and docked dogs may not participate in a number of other activities, depending on the jurisdiction or governing body, it's best to avoid it if there is ever any ambition to show or do sports.

So it’s illegal bar 3 breeds in certain circumstances?

My friend has had quite a few over the years she recently had her last one put down she had wobblers and wasn't that old, she has just bought 2 puppies I've only seen them once they are lovely I believe she buys show lines I may see her over the next few days and I will ask her.

I know the last bitch she had was not an easy dog and was the most difficult she has ever had, was quite unpredictable would growl at strangers for real reason so was often crated if she had visitors, I always got on fine with her but she knew me from day one as a puppy.

The ones I see most often are mostly Italian, predominantly show but they are not bad workers either. Seen nice German working lines too.
Eastern European blood tends to bring the sharpness IME.

I love their little (massive) tails and ears
When they aren’t smacking me 😂
Me too, but wow the power in a Weims tail is unbelievable and I doubt a Dobes is any different. A lethal weapon for sure:D
I can't actually imagine mine without tails and they are such happy expressive dogs who use them a lot !!
In France I think a breeder can still dock if their vet agrees, and I often see mixed litters . I chose a breeder who didn't dock at all

Aw I’m the same I couldn’t do it I love their tails even if they do hurt! My partners dad has a dobbie and he’s massive his tail would sweep the legs out from under you 😂❤️
In ireland now they’re bringing out new laws for cropped ears as well

Docked dogs can be shown under FCI (so Irish rules) so long as the dog was docked legally - if it is legal to dock in the country of origin they can be shown here (or if they are a docked gundog). The top Dobermann puppy in Ireland at the moment is a UK owned USA import with a v.short dock.

Yeah they’re starting the new rules on Friday so no one’s 100% sure how it’s going to go yet

The new legislation has nothing to do with docking and won't affect showing in Ireland under IKC rules where cropped dogs are already banned.

Sorry if I've got it wrong, I assumed this was a puppy born in Ireland to imported parents.
