Dobiegirl

Thank you Clodagh, he is lovely, I see one of the Dobe rescue ladies is on to this already so hopefully he will soon have a home. Im going to be helping a lady who is having a rescue Dobe puppy in January, she will bring him over to meet mine and as he gets older will walk with mine as well, will also advise and help with training, bliss, with none of the drawbacks of house training or chewing.

Like grandchildren! All the pros and none of the cons. If you hear how he gets on could you let me know? I love dobes. Shame they don't pick up pheasants!

I see from the description that he's up for 'Adoption'. Does this mean that ownership would never be transferred?

He's a handsome pup, I'll give him that!

Alec.

He is up for rehoming(adoption) so ownership will be transferred but on the understanding that he will always go back to the rescue if conditions are not met or they can no longer keep him. All rescues operate slightly differently but I would hope most would adhere to those condition, my Dobes cannot be rehomed by me but would go back to Dobermann Welfare.

Ive fostered and owned Dobes from 1year old to 4yrs and a puppy is something I always wanted( a clean slate) getting a bit old for that now but you can still dream. I had to smile Alec at Dobes not picking up pheasants, you dont need a gun with mine, they can pluck a fat wood pigeon out the air but unfortunately they always eat what they catch. One Dobe I had in the past would point if he found a pheasant in the hedge, he did this on numerous occasions so not just a flash in the pan.

The Dobe puppy Im going to be helping with is not born yet, an in whelp bitch has come into rescue and a scan has revealed 5 pups( thats a small litter) Im sure I will post lots of photos of this puppy when it arrives.
