i know ... my mate has it .. and i looked at the packet last night and it said dobson and horrell .. and i couldnt find it on the website .. Hmmmm

I use the Spillers Readigrass, I think they are more or less the same thing - freezedried grass??

My advice is build it up slowly and don't give them too too much, I find it gives them a nice bit of energy. But mine absolutley love it - I use it as a chaff at the mo but you can feed it on its own. The bag says that you can damp it down a bit but I don't - guess its just personal preference.

Perhaps borrow a bit of your friends to see if yours will like it ?

Yep dobson and horrell do one not to sure on it's name through could be just hay, my friend feeds her horse it, it's very similar to readigrass. There are several different ones around including prue grass and graze on.

are these products non heating ?? im having a problem keeping weight on .. without her getting fizzy .. its really pecking my head now !! aarrghhh Hellpppppppppppppp !! i need a food source that conditions but doesnt fizz as she is only being ridden once a week and has only an hour turn out a day ... helpp please before my head blows up haha

It doesn't fizzy up my mare and she very highly strung, and loses weight really easily, and i've found by feeding her a bucket of readigrass at night i've been able reduce the amount of hard feed she was having, and she's still keeping the weight on, and i now also have a much calmer horse.

try EquiJewel from Saracen horse feeds

My horse is allergic to soya so cannot have most of the 'condition improving' stuff as they all have soya in

EquiJewel is made from Rice Bran with calcium carbonate added to avoid a potassium imbalence from it being bran

expensive at 29 quid a bag but one bag and one scoop per day for my horse has made a big difference and hasn't made him fizzy - and he's stabled a lot of the time as due to previous bone injury cannot be allowed to slip/slide around on greasy fields and is only ridden 2 hours a week - and he's a TB
