Docks in field

How do you control Dock leaves in a field?! we cant really keep the horses away to spray them which is a problem!!

Either dig them up or keep on and on cutting and removing them. Theres no short cut Im afraid!

Topping them so that they cannot seed also helps as they grow weaker because they are not allowed to seed. I have sprayed a lot and then had my field topped recently and will do it again before autumn...but then I don't want a lot of grass as I have a native. Whatever you do, do not let them seed and shed because more will grow next year...even if it means you have to go around chopping them and bagging them up...I have done this before but it does help.

As long as there are not any poisonous plants being treated I leave my horses in the field. The docks just wilt and die..

Spot spray them!

Spot spray, even if you can only kep them off for a day or so just to let the liquid dry onto the docks, then they start to wilt.
