Hi all,
I am 19 weeks pregnant and have done well riding 4 times a week, hacking over a variety of terrain and schooling, went to RC rally(No jumping). My horse has been an utter star and looked after me very well. I have also been teaching my friend's daughter on him twice a week because she is taking over when I get too preggy and baby comes.
ANyway I made the mistake of going for a WALK (the on-foot type) this weekend in some crap shoes. I felt a bit uncomfortable so I decided to go for a hack out on my own, just a quiet plod and horse was SO slow and ploddy - no spooking or trying to run after motorbikes! Like he knew something was wrong... I felt very uncomfortable like a sack of potatoes.
By the time I got home I could hardly walk. First thing yesterday I got in at doctors and he said I have sciatica caused by my stage in pregnancy and my altered posture... I cannot go to work and....
... NO RIDING!!!!!!!!!!
I am so gutted!!!
