Was at local pet shop yesterday and our local dog charity was ther drumming up support, they had a few dogs with them, one of which was 1 of 4 cocker puppies they had been given, the lady I spoke to said they'd all go blind, it was hireditary (sp)
How can these people breed from them knowing the life they are going to have, I was in tears, I was reassured they would be fine and have a good life but it still sucks that they will be put through it through no fault of their own, I bet they'll be breeding more shortly from the poor bitch they came from.
If I had the room I'd have taken them all they were all gorgeous, all different breeds, there was a put who's eye had prolapsed so had been removed, I don't normally go for that type of breed but she was lovely, there was a really timid terrier type, god knows what had happened to make it that nervous, they were trying to get it used to people gently.
