Hi this may be a long post
I don’t really want to give much away about my experience incase for some reason it gets back to the breeder. I know this is a long shot but has anyone had any bad experiences with a breeder on the Suffolk/Norfolk border? I can’t be the only one who has had a terrible experience going by the volume of puppy’s that are being produced. This breeder breeds roughly 8 different breeds of dogs they use a different mobile number for them and put up fake names and locations. I’ve tried reporting them as some of the mothers are covered in scars and it’s just lies after lies tho no one seems to care. I’m not sure where I could look to see if anyone else is complaining about the same person but I don’t want to give up on this and have more families go through what I did.

Thank you

I'm sorry to hear you have had such a bad experience - sadly it sounds like a 'standard' puppy farmer who produces multiple breeds to a very poor standard of health :( :( Personally I wouldn't hesitate to name and shame to ensure that others don't have to go through the same dreadful experience, but I also understand your reluctance to do that :(

I would love to name and Shame tho I don’t know if there would be repocussions they have my address. And I worked out from adverts they have made 100k in approx a year I’ve reported to the authorities but rspca told me it was own fault for purchasing the puppy in the first place and others have brushed it under the carpet but I can’t let it rest and forget about it.

That is horrendous - typical RSPCA reaction! If I'm honest I doubt there would be any repercussions, I have seen so many puppy farmers named and shamed over the years, I feel that they must be used to it by now :( Have you tried googling them? It may be that some interesting results come up!

I have googled them that’s how i found out about the different names being used but nothing else seems to be showing up I have seen pictures of other dogs they have sold and they don’t look in great shape but the owners of theses don’t think they have a problem tho one has really bad bowed legs and another has clear eye problems I showed these to my vets and they said they didn’t look good at all. My dog had 41 A4 pages of vets appointments in one year

There’s a bloke up that way that runs a boarding kennel and uses clients dogs as studs-unbeknownst to the owners! Breeds really weird crosses, like super obese mastiff things with a Queen Anne legs, real idiot. He’s forever trolling on here: https://www.petforums.co.uk

You might want to try asking on there.

Thank you I’ll post on there tomorrow. I’ve been keeping a track off all litters being born they are all meant to be pure breds tho there was one cross breed. Some don’t have pictures with Mum and are advertised in pairs at around 12 weeks old which seems strange to me. I check virtually every day to see if anything new has been advertised so I wouldn’t have missed it if they where the last two remaining of a litter of that makes sense.

Have you reported them to Trading Standards? That seems to be the way to go. One local (ish) puppy farming family was successfully prosecuted within the last few years. They were also featured on 'Watchdog'. Unfortunately those family members who managed to dodge the prosecution weren't banned and are still farming puppies.

Trading standards told me it wasn’t anything to do with them but Then also told me they have had reports before about the same people. They told me I needed to contact environmental health.

I passed information to environmental health and told them that trading standards had said they where know to them which environmental health said wasn’t true. All they said was the breeders needed a license they contacted them and said they cooperated and now have a license. Whilst waiting for license they weren’t allowed to breed but they did. The vet on the inspection told them to improve a couple of things and that was that. I then asked environmental health about all the puppies at there and they told me they had no puppies but they where advertising puppies so these must have been moved somewhere else whilst the inspection took place. Also who the licsense has been given to hasn’t advertised anymore under their name they using other people’s so it doesn’t really stand for anything. I’m not sure if the kennel club have removed them tho I don’t suppose they would tell me but non of the puppies are now KC registered. They are also registered under multiple vets.

That was also on my list to contact them aswell as I highly doubt and tax had been paid on the puppy’s tho just planning how to send all info because I have it all printed off because they remove advert afterwards so I’ll need to copy and reprint it all which will probably take 3 sets of ink cartridges or find someone with a scanner who can scan it all onto a computer and send it that way.

Good luck with it all, they really do need stopping. I wonder if it would be worth contacting 'Watchdog'. They certainly pursued the puppy farmers in Bradford, who are also horse dealers.

I don’t really want to put it over Facebook I’m sure I probably would find more people that way but I then worry about repercussions I have found 4 other people so far

You dont have to put the breeders name up, you could just state what you did here in your opening post and ask people to pm you if they think they may have bought a pup from the same source.. You could also use a different profile to protect yourself.
