Probably a pointless post as you've already bought them, but I don't know about the dodson and horrell ones but can thoroughly recommend allen and page's calm and condition. My exracer looks really well on them in the winter.

What turnout does he get? What is your grass like? The best way of getting weight on at any time of year is quality forage. It may be grass, if it's good enough, or otherwise, plenty of haylage. What have you been feeding him and how often? No point just saying you've bought a bag of feed without giving more information for people to be able to advise you.
