why are you looking for a feed with lots of energy? if its to get a slow horse to speed up then so such luck, the 'energy' in horse feed needs to be though of not as speed energy but as calories. If you were a sluggish sort of person, eating 12 sandwiches wouldnt make you go racing around like a mad thing, it would made you even more dozy! Yes chocolate might make you get a move on but sugar isnt put into horse feeds. Feeding a slow cob high energy feeds will make him fat. Weird i know but this is what dodson and horrell told me when i asked about such things! If you are competing lots and the horse needs lots of calories to keep him going than yes it is a great feed that horses seem to like and is itsnt to expensive!!

Tried this a couple of years back with my very laid back 16.3 then 16yo for a bit of spark (he was in a decent amount of work at the time) - sent him absolutely potty - never had a feed that has touched him even racehorse cubes but on this I was having to do 15 mins in canter once warmed up to tire him out before I Could even think about schholing - made him extremely sppoky too (worse than usual) - only fed it as a friend had half a bag left when hers fractured it's pedal bone - she'd had exactly the same effect with her extremely lazy CBx
