Dodson & Horrell Performance/competition concentrate

I fed this when my good doer was in work and needed a bit of oomph without the calories. Spoke to my Feed Merchant and its what he recommended for her, shes Hanoverian/TB and worked well. Had to be careful as shes prone to weight gain and has had laminitis. Gave the needed spark that we needed.

Not had any experience of this feed but friend feeds her spunky dressage horse A&P power and performance which gives him a little more sparkle but not too fizzy.

For the same reasons I fed Paddy GWF nutritions tiger oats - a cup or so on top of his normal feed. I found them to be fab and much less starchy then mixes. They also have a balancer in them so no need to buy any extra.

I fed competition mix and noticed no difference whats so ever, so went back to D&H pasture mix and just up'd the quantity! I've even tried D&H micro mix (race horse mix) and that didn't make any difference either. But that's probably just my 'special needs' pony rather than an issue with the food!
