im looking for my old mare rio... long story.. there is another thread on here looking for her... passport was born 9th april 1995 bay, out of my last penny by lochearnhead... i sold her to suffolk way around 9 years ago.. lost contact with new owners and have contacted weatherbys to forward a letter to them but had no luck :(
she is around 15.3 well built with a thin blaze and 2 white socks on her hind legs... very quirky mare but never had a bad bone in her body...
i had her from a yearling and it broke my heart having to let her go and i have been trawling the net trying to remember the last name of the girl who i sold her to and the name of the village she went to...

all i can remember is her name was louisa and she was at a place near leiston in suffolk?
if anyone remembers rio or louisa at all, please get in touch... thankyou :) xxx

I know its a common name but I knoq of a quirky bay mare called Rio in Dorset, in a yard I used to be in....timing would be about right...

Can you post a pic...or details of freeze mark maybe? I know people still there so I can ask.
 
bit of a long shot but i knew of a Rio in Wrexham, North Wales...very similar to your description. Do you have any pics that you could post?
The girl i know who had a horse called Rio is on facebook, and has a pic of her so I could compare if you like? :)

I have emailed her piccie, does look very similar but then there are a lot of beautiful bay mares around so dont want to get your hopes up. As I said though...timimgs about right...how old would she be now?

You might get more joy if you post a thread saying 'anyone know this horse'? and putting a big picture on it.

To do this you open a Photobucket account (its free) then you put your cursor over the picture you've uploaded, you need to copy the bottom line....you click on it and it will say copied....you can then paste onto the thread.

Obviously I will let you know either way if the Rio I know is one in the same.
 
hey, she would have been 17 yesterday... ive been digging and searching alot and i had a message from a girl on facebook who brought a horse from the dodgy dartford dealer and they were given rios passport apparently.... so im not holding out much hope that shes still alive really :( i really want to find out what happened for her to maybe end up in such an awful place :( ill get on photobucket and try post some pics of her xx thanks x

Have you put ads on preloved or horsemart etc? I am not sure on cost but might be worth a go.

Also - can you get any of the horse mags interested? They might print picture and 'Anyone know this horse' for you?
