Wow, what a great pic! Thanks for posting it! So interesting finding out his past, especially from you as you obviously knew him well! What race was this from?

he won his race before by 29 lengths at market rasen... he also came 6th in a grade 2 hurdle at aintree at the national meeting... he was 100-1 and beat the favourite too! ;) xx

Blimey! No wonder I need goggles when galloping him!! :) although having a sire like his, it's no wonder !!

Ela Re, he's fully retired now and is currently on loan in West Yorkshire as a companion for my own tb gelding. He's a real gem to deal with, a gentle giant, tho i was told he was a bit of a boy in his younger days! I've nicknamed him GG (ginger giraffe). Hope this info helps. JL

ah wow! ela re! he was (excuse the language) a big s**t! lol... he tried mounting me in the stable when he still had his man bits.... needless to say they were chopped off soon after! lol and he used to fly leap and bugger off with you!! took him a long time to mature tho and never looked a proper horse until about age 5 or 6... im glad to hear hes doing ok, although he was a sod we all had a soft spot for him and his warty ear! (does he still have that?!) x x :)
