You need to put up ads in tack shops etc where you live. For example, I've been looking for someone for AGES for my 13.2hh pony, but she's not easy (read v green, downhill and spooky) and needs a confident rider so have pretty much given up. If I saw an ad I might ring someone up and get them to come have a go and see from there though.

when i was a similar age to you, i put ads up at local shows, tack shops, RC newsletters etc. I had quite a few calls

This may sound cruel, but it is well-intentioned: if your post is anything to go by, you need to concentrate on your school work. Literacy is important whatever you plan to do when you leave school.

dont worry im doing fine in school im top for everthing. and i dont want to be like some of my friends always out and smoking and drinking horses keep me sane there my life!

Hi Tilly, what's with the poll at the top? Can't see what relation it has to the post.

I would consider allowing a good, sympathetic and trustworthy young rider (ie, someone who does as they're told and doesn't get up to the sort of tricks that Jazzaria does) to ride and compete my ponies, but the rider would have to pay all entries, registration fees, etc, themself. I suspect that my ponies would be a bit too far away for you though! ;)

Voted on poll for you!! I'd go for the Cooper S!!!

As for the riding look for a forum in your area cus you will be better asking local to you, go and offer your help at local Show Jumper do grooming at weekends and maybe they may no of someone with a horse etc and if not you will gain experience of BSJA etc before you start riding at them, who did you have lessons on before your horse was put in foal maybe asked them. Maybe you could buy a second horse to bring on til you can ride your horse then sell it once you have bought it on.

Good luck
