As the title really, was just wondering if anyone uses munch stations to feed hay/haylage from, if so are they any good? I am considering getting them for my 2. I would really like a haybar but I know without a doubt that my mare will pull all her haylage out of it and tramp it into her bed and that my sisters mare will eat hers far too quickly. So the munch station looks like a suitable alternative that will mean I can banish all my hay nets to the back of the cupboard once and for all

thats similar to my dads comment when I showed him a pic of the munch station and told him thats what I was thinking of getting. A massive waste of money apparently... but then again he thinks that most things associated with horses are.

I have never heard of this I will investigate because my boys always have a bed half hay/ half shavings EVERY morning and it drives me mad!!! x x x

They look like a fantastic idea but are a tad pricey and I don't know anyone who has them, so wanted to find out if they were any good before I splash out and buy them (won't be for a while yet as they're out 24/7 for now

).

TopTack equestrian on ebay have them and so does Robinsons ( munch station ).

I have used the floor in the past as natural and dont like the muscle development associated with haynets etc .

However - I had a look at these and not sure how they get all the hay from the back..... any one know

Yes!! I do. I bought 2 a few years ago despite the cost. They have paid for themselves over and over as far as I'm concerned. No hay in beds and the feeder on the top has been great for those who love to kick their feed bowls over and mix it in their bed!. And so easy to fill rather than horrible haynets! I think they are fab and if I ever built my own stables they would, to me, be essential!

Scottish Miss - there is a sloping piece of plastic in the base and hay sort of slides to the front as it is eaten, if that makes sense!
