I was wondering the same thing...I'm pleased I'm not the only one who doesn't get much done! I seem to do a load of work when I first come in to work...get bored...go on HHO for a few hours...do maybe an hour more work then hey presto the day in over! I do always hit my deadlines and get things done somehow but I also seem to be on here an awful lot!

I'm hoping I never get found out too! I work on my own downstairs but there are always people passing through and I'm always having to shut down the screen quickly!
i do what needs to be done, im never behind on my work. im lucky in that my busy time is around the end of the month/beginning of the following month and im quiet in the middle which is good!!
I got busted the other day, a friend that works in our IT department asked if i have been on horse and hound much recently as it was coming up 4th in the most visited websites list! Whoops ! But luckily she told me a way to log on which cant be detected ! Perfectio !
Mee too, I generally have it open all day running in minimised, but I am sure I do spend more time on here than doing actual work, at least I can use the excuse I am monitoring our ad's with H&H. OOPS
i only work part time 'office desk faces outwards' post - but in the mornings IE NOW i am supposed to be doing housework - ive been a member for a couple of months now - my house has never been so untidy and filthy!!!!!!!!
From when im in work the first thing I do is login to HHO, my IE page only covers about a 3rd of the screen but my computer screen faces out although im hidden around the corner from the big bosses!!
I think its only a matter of time before I get sussed out as im not supposed to even be on the internet!
I am supposed to be in auction today but have had to stay behind as my VAT return has to be in the post tomorrow or i get a huge fine and it is all HHO's fault!
I'd like to know a way to log on without being found out as well - I used to visit another forum in work time and got found out and now work have blocked it. don't want it to happen again so I'm being ultra careful on here.
Have it open most of the day and minimise it if need be. Its a shame that even on the minimized screen you can still read "horse and hound online"!! Kind of gives it away but they are pretty good here - as long as I get my work done!!
Well I'm pretty lucky in that my computer is in my house and my horses (work in other words) are right outside the door so in answer to your question; Yes I do get a fair amount of work done as I pop in and out all day long.
Well fortunately as I am at home so don't really have a job, I can take lots of coffee breaks, but I am supposed to be working outside anyway.
I have 300 9' fence posts to lay out for the fencers todays, very heavy, I've managed about 60 so far (it's 8.40am here) so reckon I deserve my coffee right now
OH is still asleep, which is good as it gives me time to figure out how to hide the rip I've put in the bed liner of his precious truck
I also have about 40 trees to plant out, if I don't get them in the ground today they will die and I can't sell dead trees
I do get my work done but I did nip on here on and off during the day. Where I am today I have to be careful as everyone can see my screen but normally its not too bad. I just worry incase anyone monitors the usage of the internet. Mine would be pretty easy to see and no one else horsey to blame either!!
Enfys: is your place a registered farm? These trees that you are planting - are they to be used as windbreaks or are they habitable by little birds? If so did you know you can get a grant which will pay for 50% of ALL costs, including the installation of them??

Hi Tia, how are Cloud and Legacy?
Yes we are registered as a farm. Ohhhhh, Thankyou
, must look into that, hmm, although it's not actually costing us anything except labour and a bit of gas
The trees are coming from the woods (used to be a Pine plantation) sized from 1' to 4' that we are moving as they just can't grow in the woods. At the moment they are being put along the side of the track, so yes, they are intended as a windbreak, and yes, we have more mature trees already in the line that the chickadees and the juncos have lived in all winter.
LOL - I'm always behind on work and the reason is usually something to do with horses! I'm a bit better now at work because I had a new laptop with wireless connection for my birthday and so come on here in the evening more - it's annoying the OH now
To those asking about how to access the website without it being immediately obvious to IT, go through a proxy server website like hidebehind or ninjaproxy- I don't know if either of those are still running but if not there will be similar ones about.
And do you have red-winged blackbirds down there? I adore them!!
Here's the URL for the grant scheme: http://grantcanada.com/ Probably wouldn't be worth your while to claim on this occasion but it may be useful for you in the future - they also will pay for certain types of field shelters etc. I didn't find out about it till we had done most of our work here but it may be helpful to you just starting up.
