I know exactly what your going thru. I bought a lovely mare a year ago who turned out (6 months on) to have bad COPD. She is capable of doing light hacking and a few strides of canter before her breathing gets bad. Now I love competing and the light hacking is really getting me down. Im now looking for another horse to bring on (a cheapy project) and to compete but, I cant keep two. Ive advertised her as light hack but had zilch interest. Ive put an ad in local feed place as for sale or loan and had no interest there either.
