Does anyone else have a gas powered horse?

My girl is generally a star, but being 5 year old she does have her "I don't believe you and I'm going to challenge you" moments.
I have noticed that these moments are always accompanied by one huge, loud, violent fart. Not like her normal farts which just sort of fall out of her, these are real attitude farts. Example we were schooling yesterday and she was being a bit, I don't want to go I don't want to go I - want to leap to the side and gallop down the school! FART!
Or on a hack, trotting through a field nice and happily then puddle FART GALLOP!
Anyone elses horse do this?
 
Ha ha!! I can't stop laughing at 'attitude farts'!!

That sums up the 5 year old I ride perfectly... Almost like they pop out with sheer excitement to help jet power him on in times of speed and naughtiness!

'attitude farts' ... Love it!
 
Are you referring to my horses 'turbo'. either makes her go faster or knocks out opposition behind:D....
 
my horse has been known to be quite 'gassy' at times, but with her I don't think it's an attitude thing. 'attitude farts'.. brilliant!!
 
I had a squealy farty bucker. The first hour out hunting was always the worst until he'd worn himself out, but until then it was like he was being propelled vertically from both ends o_O
 
I do have a fairly windy horse...the best moment was when he was dozing off then passed wind and frightened himself with the noise and shot across the box....
 
When my much missed RID started his dressage career he went through a phase of getting terribly excited as the bell went and we made our way up the centre line.

He would warm up beautifully but once the trot around the arena started he would grow even bigger than his already impressive 18 hands, it went something like this...........enter at A, reach X, feel back go tight, squeal, fart, buck once (only took one to eject me), fly over his head, thud in the sand landing on my back looking up his nose because he always put his head down to speak to me on the floor. Never ran off or trod on me.

Bless him, at least his massive fart gave me a warning I was about to fly !

I always find it hilariously funny when they spook at their own farts! One horse did this in my riding lesson once, and in turn she spooked all the other horses. There were about 7 horses all in a very small indoor arena, it was pretty interesting to say the least:D
