Ok so managed to sell 4 saddlecloths, 2 rugs and an under rug and had £139.40 from saddlery. Somehow I managed to come out with 2 x panacur gold wormer and a £99.99 rug

Ok so he did need another heavyweight outdoor rug as only one still fits him properly the other 2 are a tad short on his bum and he gets a cold and wet bum when he puts his head down to eat. This NEW rug fits lovely and covers him very well indeed.
Well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it

Erm... yes... I am known as the rug queen at our yard. Not only that but I always know what temperature it is predicted to be at any given time of day, and have always planned what my horse is going to wear in advance! I had a funny chat with a lady on her rug stall at YHL, I knew what every rug was called, what weight it was, what it was made from, the colours it came in and the price! So so sad!
Having said that I came out of the local tackshop's rug sale today with not a single rug (yet still £100 down). I'm off to rectify that and buy three more rugs I don't need!
Anyone want to set up some RA meetings??! I think I need it!

I have a rug addiction

I was about to buy a rug the other week, didn't even need it ( and can't really afford it) but luckily they didn't have it in his size! New rugs are just so clean and smell nice

I check the forecast religously and have a rug for every eventuality (sp?)

I think the two must go hand in hand as I am also known as the weather queen and can tell anyone what the weather is going to be, temp etc for the next few days

I like the BBC five day one, would be better though if the 24hr bit was for all 5 days not just the 1st one!

Haven't you seen the post intro's -

Hi I'm .............., I'm a rugaholic ? Ever so funny. And some of the justifications for buying are hilarious. Best yet - 'I accidentally bought..........' LMAO

And I am a recovering rugaholic - so haven't in a while (except the three I bought to celebrate my pony not dying when I thought she would

) The colours last season were so awful anyway..........

I am a rugaholic without a doubt. I have sheet/non fill turnout/ 40 gram/ 100 gram/ 200 gram/ 300 gram/ 400 gram all in turnouts and stable rugs and obviously if you need more warmth you can layer. Then I have a shed load of fleeces form weatherbeeta to equinox/ horseware in various colours. Even pink rugs and I have a bay gelding. See picture!!

yes I do. Have too many rugs for my girls. Even managing to get round to selling a few at auction in a wk or sos time - yes its awful, i dont know how ill cope with selling some rugs that i dont use nor fit any of the girls but you just never know when they may come in useful!!

Great, not just me then!! I have 4 horses- did have 5 until summer but lost one sadly. All are different sizes. All have at least two outdoor and an indoor or two, plus different weight outdoors- sorry cant count them!!. However two of them live out and Ive got extra spares for them in case one has to be mended!! They also have stable rugs- just in case!!Ive still got a couple of canvas rugs which must be about 15 years old but I never use them. But they Might come in handy so cant possibly bin them!!!!!! The thing is if I did need a replacement Id just buy another!!! In a different colour!!
Ive also got about eight saddles!!!! 4 are for sale, my old horses stubben should be- but has sentimental value!! No wonder Im always poor!!

now, I don't have a rug addiction, I have a rug obsession atm. I am so desperate for one that fits nicely and doesnt rub or leak that I've even sent off his measurements to have one made for him especially

.
So far this week I have purchsed a rhino pony wug, a saxon full neck TO rug, a rhino stable rug, a flourescent exercise sheet and two fleeces from dinky rugs.
That is on top of his shires TO rug, weatherbeeta fleece and non brand stable rug. Oh, and the custom made one which should arrive in a fortnight.
He is a very hairy unclipped native.

My OH is going absolutely loopy!!

I LOVE rugs! Bought a heavy weight Weatherbeeta Orican on friday....bidding on a New Rhino stable rug on ebay at the mo and currently looking for an amigo medium weight stable rug... none of which my horse really needs lol.

But, in my defense I have been cutting down on rugs. I have always kept my old rugs "just incase" even though I know should if anything happen to my current rugs I would just buy new ones rather than use old ones lol. So I had a huge tackroom clear out. Sent a load to the local horse charity, sold three or four to a friend and now have two full neck underrugs to sell and a new heavyweight turnout I bought that I didn't need! lol

My names Rema and i'm a rugaholic.I have rugs stashed all over the house. My hubby keeps going into cupboards/wardrobes and pulling out rugs.He keeps saying when did you get this "oh i have had it ages".I think at a rough count i have about thirty rugs for one horse
