.. Hacking in the winter rather than summer?
I was thinking to myself today, on a hack in the pouring rain how much happier myself and the horse were now that there are no flies & spiders about to bother us!
Not to mention the dog walkers who can't control their horse eating animals don't go for walks in the woods so often this time of year, and the kids on scramblers won't make an appearance again til at least May.
It was so much more peaceful and I really enjoyed it despite getting soaked.
Drivers seem to be more cautious too as they worry about splashing puddles near my horse.
Its a shame that it will be too dark for me to hack after work everyday soon
