I love the pics OP, he looks like he's having a great time! I used to work for a showjumper who had two small children (a two year old and a six month old) and sometimes when he and his wife were both around and wanting to ride, my job would transform into nanny/ groom as me and my co-worker would be left with the kids to look after! The baby was okay as he couldn't leave her pram, but the two year old was into everything! We had to abandon getting horses in and out of stables as he'd be heading towards their back legs before you knew it, and go and "play" in the outdoor school instead. Technically we'd be taking jumps down/ putting them up, but we seemed to spend a large amount of time "jumping" the two year old over the fences (we'd hold a hand each) and being commanded by him to jump over fences ourselves. It was great fun, but I'm glad he was in nursery most of the week as I've no idea how we'd have got any work done otherwise! He had a little wheelbarrow, fork and broom and he loved to help skip out etc, but he tended to make more mess than we started with, if I'm honest!
