Colour Co ordinate rugs and headcollars etc.
I bought ben a new amigo turnout rug in red so I had to buy a red headcollar to match as he would look silly with his other one, that was my excuse anyway

I then bought a lovely masta patchwork fleece rug in lilac/purple with again a headcollar to match, I then thought these are too nice for being in stable so he is having them as travel stuff, so I then bought the identical boots for the rug and my horse looks a tad bit gay now

I am terrible though everything has to match, I also should have bought a mare, poor ben in girly colours

I do have to say though he does pull it off without looking too girly

My daughters friend does that everything is pink even the wheelbarrow.She tried to get her mum to buy the pink trailer.
 
Oh dear lol I dont want a pink trailer.
I am not really bad I just like to have a headcollar to match my turnout rug, and I always have had travel sets to match.

I cant help it I think I must have OCD,
 
Lol I like things to match, mind you I didnt think about the travel boots matching the rug as I bought it all separatly, just liked the colour of them

I have a matching green set rugs/boots/tailguard/headcollar for travelling, although I have just replaced my nylon headcollar for a leather one to travel in, so that might solve your problem if you only had to worry about black or brown!

I used to be like this with my last two horses who were on a very posh yard and everyone was colour coordinated. Now it's whatever fits and works best with regards to rugs etc.

Everything tack wise is is either white or black. That way I can mix and match and it still looks smart.

My pet hate is coloured numnahs and matching bandages etc. and the absolute ultimate dislike is coloured girths. Yuk! they are the pits. Ok for little kids on ponies but a bit naff for grown ups I think. Sometimes I see a nice coloured saddlecloth but I restrain myself as I know I would regret it!

I have the Amigo MW rug in baby blue so I got the headcollar to match,

then I got the LW amigo in 'wedgewood blue' so I got the headcollar to match that too,

I have a full range of coordinating Shires stable rugs in a gorgeous purpley colour with pale pink binding... and a headcollar to match

Plus a numnah to match each headcollar!! And a grooming box that matches the stable rugs, and co-ordinating travel boots.....

the only thing I have thats sensible is my black tack!

and I will always be able to find my horse in his bright red rug mind hes the biggest out so not hard to find
