Just out of curiosiry really. Ronniedog, being a Bedlington/Whippet is a very quiet dog and rarely barks. He gets on fine with the horses and they have become used to him. However, if for example I've just turned one of the horses back out after riding, and it gets down and has a roll, Ronniedog gets highly excited/worried (not sure) by the horse being on the ground, and zooms in circles around the horse - just out of reach of the legs - barking constantly. (It doesn't seem to worry the horses at all - i.e. they carry on rolling and don't seem to see the dog as any kind of threat).

Anyone else's dog do similar? And any thoughts on why the horse rolling might get the dog worked up so much?

My JR whos 11 months goes metal with his mum tucked to play. When he was younger and i was turning out my daughters pony he got so excited and lept on him!!! Luckily it was a very quiet first pony he just laid there and looked at him while Charlie the pup bounced around on him barking slightly confused!!! He then lept of and pony got up and walked off like nothing had happened. Charlie hasnt gone as close since thankfully!!!:)

Yes our lab Skye does. I think she gets worried. If I am not watching she tries to get our attention Lassie style as if to say - quick Mam horsey is stuck. Quite cute really.
