Hi,

As the title states, does anyone else have a horse who loves to get as dirty as they possibly can in the field?
I have a very handsome welsh D who is a complete slob when it comes to play time in the field. Love him to bits though :)

Yes my Arab is covered most days, and he cant have a full neck on as it ruins his mane, so he permanently has mud dredlocks as it also ruins it if you keep brushing it, its a stylish look I can assure you.

I have one who's the opposite and precious and is always spotless, even manages to clean up spotless after crossing the bog, other who has patches. Most of OHs are patches but one who is head to toe Brown everytime we see her :)

Yes, put her out for 5 mins

Me too - mine scrubs his head and mane into the mud, managing to lift his rug up in the process and get it all up his flanks and down his back legs.

I do put a full neck on him in self defence - at least then the bulk of his neck and mane is clean!!

Mine loves it! He is dun, so it's not always too bad. I have found him to be cleaner when he goes out unrugged - suspect he is not too hot, so rolls less! Still wallows like a hippo given half a chance though!

Yes we have got one (also coloured) who digs holes in the field to wallow in, I'm sure he was a pig in his previous life!

He is now retired and currently spending time keeping our colt company and has been encouraging the colt to do them same.

Maybe it’s a camouflage thing??

Both of then love it. My cob is black, but ends up nearly chestnut after rolling in our red clay mud. My daughters eventer is a skewbald, who is the filthiest be atch imaginable, and loves the mud.
