not bother to lift their tail when going to the toilet or hardly move when going for a wee or is my horse just lazy. His what should be white tail is currently very dirty and stained because of this

Its going to take a while to get it back to normal colour and still deciding how too.

one of the cob mares at yard i used to work at had a maaasssive thick tail and she never bothered to try to lift it, it was totally gross! good luck x

Its a cob thing I think. My cob has a huge tail and does his best to lift it out of the way but usually catches the inside of his tail! It mingles with the mud at this time of the year

but in the summer I'm always having to wash it.

My Lipizzaner mare used to exactly the same it made it very yellow, was even worse when she was in season - sounds like a grey horse thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my welsh cob is amazing. he never poos on his tail, or his legs. in fact when he poos he stands with all four feet as close together as possible! its really quite funny to watch! obviously im very lucky
