Does anyone fancy some XC schooling????? Near to Berkshire....

Hi,

I posted this in CR but thought maybe not everyone goes in there!!

I have a baby pony that I want to XC school a bit, but no one at my yard wants to go and my ma and bf are getting bored of trailing round to comps etc. I have transport and could pick up, if not miles away and if horse is nice to load and a polite traveller! Id prefer to go in the week but could do weekends.

My horse is sensible and bold and is jumping up to about 3' just need new friends to pick me up if I fall off (and vice versa!!) and its much more fun going with other people rather than a bored boyfriend!!

Let me know if you want too!!!

Which courses do you tend to venture too? I've got a mare that wouldn't mind having some friends and going to a few in between the both of us (I'm in surrey)
 
I'm near Swindon area if that's any way near to you? Postcode's SN11

My boy generally jumps anything if you needed leads etc with your baby,or vice versa for me haha :P

Where abouts in Surrey?? Do you have transport? Can you go in the week??

So far I have taken her to Rosehill and to Rogate.

Would like to go to Twesledown, Boomerang and maybe places like Mattingly when open for schooling after the event.

TBH I dont mind going anywhere as long as the ground is nice and the jumps are nicely built.

Swindons about a hour and a bit away. Do you have your own transport? Maybe we could go to Russ (boomerang) as thats in the middle of us...
 
Aah sorry...my sense of direction is notoriously pants!!!

I really want to go to Boomerang at some point this summer, so yeah, definately :D We should do a H&H outing!
 
I don't have a horse at the moment but happy to go to shows occasionally at weekends if you want some company/help. I'm on Bucks/Berks border.

We're in Berks and can get to Twes or Boomerang easily, but ponio has gone off to instructors for two weeks until Aston but if you still need leads etc after that then PM.

We're not far from Rosehill, my daughter is desperate to go but we don't know anyone who will take her round - I don't expect you would want a competent sensible 10 year old accompanying you round the XC(after school perhaps?)

I'm happy to come with you for an outing and take pictures, but there's no way I'm jumping anything! (pony too keen for my liking, jumps well though, but he can stay at home, I am a wimp as well as a poor rider!). Can do mornings/days mid-week so long as back for school run.

Yes me too!!! I swear if it hadn't been dark when I got back I would have dragged him out the field and done some!! In fact I have cancelled a flatwork/sj lesson today just because I want to go and blast about so much lol!! xx
 
Hehe XD I'm tempted to pop down the log strip later, if the grounds dry enough :D

When would you fancy going? And where? I'd loooove to try boomerang! :)
 
I would also love to come too! India Pony is only a baby and will be doing much smaller ones than you guys :) But at least I would have a lead if I was in trouble :D
