Hi all :)

Just as above really, Emma just turned one & not sure is she would benefit from any supplements added to her feed and if so what ?

the only one i give is limestone flour, this is basically extra calcium for big strong bones :)

I give mine a balancer just to make sure he gets everything he needs, as although he looks really well they are still growing.

My 2yr old gets a cup full of top spec feed balancer between his morning and night feeds which is just a scoop of safe and sound. He looks great and he appears to feel great to :)

I had mine on Alfa-A and A&P Stud cubes when they were weaned and then Alfa-A and A&P Yearling Pencils from when they were about 18 months old. They also limestone flour when foals.

Depending how they look I tend to put them onto High Fibre Cubes when they are 3.

It really depends on what the diet is now. If you are feeding recommended amounts of a stud type feed, you shouldn't need to add anything at all.
My youngsters, during the summer only have a mineral bucket and a Rockie salt lick in the field, they don't actually need additional feed but if I did feed them, it would be D & H Suregrow as it has everything they need for growing bodies.

as mine's on less Healthy Hooves at the moment, I give him a 15 ml extra of biotin/limestone flour, and he has garlic essential oil diluted in veg oil in his feed too. He also has access to a vit/min lick. He's filling out real nice !

My two year old is on D&H suregrow so I second that one. She loves it too. I do top it up with pink powder because she isn't getting her the whole 1.something kilos of it a day though. (Takes her too long to eat it in the morning before work unfortunately)

Don't know if pink powder is for babies though so if anyone wants to suggest something better I'd be interested too :)

my yearlings are on a handful of hifi lite with Feedmark Benevit at the recommended dosage & garlic. Dex is also on a hoof supplement to try & get his feet growing quicker & stop them splitting as he has a slight upright foot, altho this is pretty much rectified now. They are on brilliant grazing though, so only get the hifi to hold their supplements.

Would limestone flour help with teeth? i posted in veterinary about my yearlings tooth having a hole in it (no replies):o would this be of any benefit does any one think?

I only give my yearling garlic powder and a handful of readi-grass, with a splash of veg oil.
