I have a 100% wool tweed jacket (exterior) with a 100% polyester lining. I would really like to hand wash it, slow spin it and hanger dry it over the radiator before my event tomorrow. Will it wreck it!!!??? It's a bit grubby and too late to dry clean. Have been patch cleaning it but just find more and more muck!!!! The tag does say dry clean only. It's quite old but I hand wash other wool items without problems?

I know this isn't exactly CR, but I do use the jacket for eventing!!! :D:D:D

I put mine in the delicate wool wash in the washing machine - same programme I was cashmere on, and it was fine...however, I claim no responsibility if yours doesn't work as well LOL!
