I have just bought one on impulse off Amazon because it was £23!! and I needed to replace my old one after a fall, but I can't seem to find any reviews on them?
 
I saw something in horse and hound pretty recently about fake body protectors that claim to be well known brands but are actually just chinese rip offs of rubish quality. Sorry to be a downer but you've only got one head. I'd be extreamly careful about such a cheap hat.
 
After I bought mine the price shot up and is now circa £50, is this a scammers trick? It was not a third party seller, it was sold from Amazon directly. Oh well, have downloaded a checklist from BHS on checking safety certs and we will see what we get!!
 
I'd still send it back. How do you know it hasn't been dropped and it has a crack in it? Its just not worth the risk, you only get one head.

Be aware that people can fake the safety kitemarks. That said if it was sold by Amazon directly and they've increased the price it might have been a mistake listing it so cheaply. I've had a quick google and £50 quid looks about right for the F1. Maybe talk to amazon about it?
