I'd really like some kind of flip down step which I could permanently bolt to the side of my trailer that I could use as a mounting block.

I know I could have a portable one, but its one more thing to have in the back of the car, and I expect that half the time while I was off riding someone would pinch it! You also end up leaving it in odd places after you've mounted if you don't have a helper that day.
When I had a lorry I got so used to standing on the living steps that its a real pain with a trailer as the ramp just isn't high enough.
I found the above design registered online, but no-one seams to make one.
