What do you think of the Pessoa saddles? are they good quality/good to ride in etc? (does the seat and knee wear quickly on the classic pro ones?)
Thanks, if anyone has any thoughts on other saddles that are good please post! thanks

One of the saddle fitters I had out bought one with her and I had a ride in it. It was lovely to ride in and fitted my boy very well but unfortunatelu I didn't have the £1000 to spend on it when my boy was just coming into work and was going to be changing shape

I have one that is 10 yrs old I brought it when they first came out as I liked the flat seat. It is my favourite saddle, used daily and still in fabulous condition. Originally I believe that they were made by Harry Dabbs but then the manufacturing contract was put elsewhere so I can't speak for the more recent models.

I have a pessoa AMO, i love it, its very comfy to ride in, i have jumped and hunted in mine.
It has usual wear and tear but then it is 8yrs old, still looks fantastic when its cleaned (which isn't very often

Mine was £1000 new 8 years ago but it hasn't cost me a penny since, however, i have the saddler coming next week and i have a awful feeling he is going to say it now doesn't fit

and i really don't have another £1000 to buy a new 1

i have 2 pessoas and love them!
one is all leather and the other has doeskin knee rolls and seat.

i love the flat seat and tiny knee rolls as i have extremely long legs that don't fold up well if the saddle is full of unnessasary padding!
i've always felt very secure in the pessoa, both eventing my older horse and using them to break babies in.

I used to have Pessoas. I now have a saddle by the company that used to make them - so it may well be a Harry Dabbs! It was cheaper than a Pessoa as well but no different. If you are after one maybe it is worth looking up Harry Dabbs? The saddler told me it is made by Modern Saddlery but there is no tag on the saddle - good idea if he has been a little naughty and copied the designs! They are nice saddles but I always use a seat saver for long hacks as the seat is a little hard.

I brought a Pessoa Amo a few months ago, new, it had a couple of scratches on it and I got it for £800.

BARGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are some on Ebay which is where I was looking and only went into local tack shop to have a sit on it to see how it felt. Noticed the scratches and that was an expensive trip to the saddlers for my new youngster.

With some TLC the scratches are hardly noticeable. but well work the discount.
