As in the title - Just interested to find out who has any and what they think? I have a rising 6yo mare by Cicero, totally amazing jump and scope, very very sweet natured once she trusts you but you really have to build a good relationship with her as she is very very sensitive! I have always had mares but never come accross one as sensitive has her! I would definately have another Cicero and if his terms were better he has all the qualities i would want to compliment my Toulon mare when i eventually breed from her but as it will be her first foal, its alot of money and risk having no live foal guarantee or similar :(

I viewed a 4yo gelding by him the other week, was very impressed and am hoping for a second viewing if things can be organised! He was intelligent and athletic, didn't come across as excessively shap/sensitive but then I only had a short/limited viewing.

Oooo how exciting! I think My mare Lily is sensitive as she has a scar on the back of her ear and its bent backwards and she gets a little worried when you put scissors etc near her but as soon as she knows it wont hurt she is fine. You have to be calm and quiet when riding her but she is absolutely fantastic over a fence :) She has such a lovely nature and loves fuss :) let me know how if goes with the 4yo :)

Does any body have updates about using Cicero as a sire for my next foal... Thinking of breeding my KWPN mare using Cicero Z's frozen semen...
Can any one give me info about his offspring, his breeding value and reliability.

Hi Ram

I have a strapping 6mnth old colt by Cicero Z who is total class, the mare is going back to him again this year as we are so impressed.

I used the frozen semen and the mare renowned know to be difficult to conceive took on the first attempt.

Cicero is hugely popular overseas the youngstock are very good quality making their names in the SJ world you only need to check out the website to see what he has produced so far: http://www.stoeterijvanpaemel.be/E/Cicero/bloodline.htm

I used a mare with lots of french blood (SF) who throws light foals and this one is strapping, I would say that he's best matched to a lighter mare.

Good Luck

Hi Tyler,

Good to hear you got a great foal. what color did he turn out :) ?

Do you remember how many straws were used per dose?

I have been in contact with Cicero's agent who seems to be a decent helpful man.

I'm still trying to find data about his breeding index and reliability but nothing so far.

Thanks a lot.

Hi Ram

I'm not sure what the breeding index or value are, the lady who runs the Cicero Z page on Facebook will know, send her an email her name is Kim.

My colt was born liver chestnut with for white socks and a blaze, he is now greying out! I'm not sure how to upload a pic but send me your email address and I will forward some pic's if you like?

I purchased 6 straws and was advised to use two per dose.

Hi Tyler,

Just sent a message to Kim on Facebook to ask about Cicero, so I'll be waiting for her answer.

Please email the pics to ramilamen@gmail.com :D

I tried to attach pics of my mare and her 2012 foal, but couldn't figure out how to upload the pics.

Thanks.

I really love my cicero mare, she has far exceeded my expectations! She has so much scope (probably too good for me) she is sensitive and a little sharp and i know a couple of others the same but they have fab temprements and scope, movement etc. I would love another cicero and if i do breed from my other mare one day i will definately use him. Everything has his amazing backend to :) i found out my mare had a foal when she was still in belgium so i am trying to buy that at the moment :)
