Had fab pony vetted and found to have an irregualr heartbeat. Is going for ECG to determine whether there is any underlying issue or whether he could live and lead a normal happy active life.

If the outcome is positive (as in could carry on quite happily) any related treatment would prob be excluded from insurance which is fair enough, but as the heart connects (pumps blood around whole body) where would the exclusion stop?

Anyone had any similar experiences with this condition in general or with this condition and insurance.

thanks xx?

Is the pony missing beats, or is the entire heartbeat irregular? Missing beats is common, especially in fit horses, and should not normally fail a vetting. When they work, the missing beat fills in.
