Does anyone have the shogun 3.2DI-D

Just to ask anyone, I have the Discovery and I have just been to test drive a shogun 3.2. It was quite a loud engine compared to the discovery. Is this normal? The salesman said that as it is a big engine it is louder than the disco. Is this right or is he pulling a fast one? While ticking over, it was quiet, but when we set off, it was loud. Sorry to sound dim but it is a lot bigger engine than ours so curious.

My last car was a shogun warrior - really nice drive and totally reliable- i loved it, great for towing too, had to have swan necked towbar cos of the spare wheel location.

Hi, I had the old shogun but sold it to get something newer 4 months ago, and I found the Discovery. TBH I much prefer the shogun but my old one was quiet compared to this newer one. I just wondered if they are a louder engine than the disco. It felt like it had a lot of power too as the disco doesnt have a lot of power when towing with my horse in. Thanks for your reply.
