Awwww congratulations, they are tooooo cute. Have fun, i personally love when they play together and do the stiff legged sideways run and then leap in the air at nothing, hours of entertainment!!!!!

Thanks Allover. I can't wait for them to gain some trust in me and start roaming. They are a little shy at the moment although one of them (Magic) has started to take food from my hand which is a good start. Smudge has a flea....and lots of those dirt specks. I need to treat that pronto.

I am sure we will all expect regular photo updates
When i found Moritz he was only 4 weeks old and covered with fleas and ticks, you could see them crawling all over him, the poor little sod!

How did you get rid? I have read that you have to fumigate your home too....?!

The flea situation!
If you can get to a vets then get your flea treatment from them. I go to the Pet Vaccination Clinic and at the moment there is an offer on.
Treat the kits, then put down a flea carpet powder on carpets-you don't need to do anything to wooden floors.
For kits its best to use a liquid rather than a collar as its safer.
And any excuse to put a pic of Toby Toast up!!
Only had him three weeks! He is now 5 months old and HUGE! I'm actually quite worried about how big he will get!

I took him straight to the vets, i was riding out when he came trotting across the road meowing at me so i popped him in my jacket (it was literally freezing cold) went home, did the horse double quick and took him straight down, he also had a notty nose and was disgustingly filthy!!! Frontline does a spray flea and tick treatment which is safe to use on little ones. I never had a problem with fleas in the house but it could be because i have wood flooring? I did put my jumper and jacket straight in the wash though
I also bathed him when we got home as he was soo infested but unless yours are riddled with them i wouldnt advise that!!!!

You can get a combined wormer/flea treatment from the vet, which is so easy to use, just squirt phial on back of their necks. It's probably a good idea to worm them fairly soon, and deflea them both at the same time. Once cats start going out and about it is quite normal for them to have "visitors" from time to time, especially if they like to interact with the local wildlife! If you get Frontline from the vet's it is almost like a calender pack, so you get in the habit of doing them regularly. Enjoy your babies!

9 times out of 10 RSPCA/Cats Protection charge more for a kitten and provide a better home for them than some 'hobby' breeders. IMO I would never go to rspca etc. Mainly because we are forces and they think I can not provide a loving home with all the moving!!! (utter rubbish). I have had another cat every year for 3 years now! I got Sangu like this...
she is a tortie moggy and the best cuddler ever and has now turned into this....
I think she was my cutest kitten out of all 3 (2 others being pedigrees) She cost me £35 and I couldnt have left the grotty place without her!
I then got Meeru a choc point siam (but the more rounded head version) Who was bargain basement because of the crappy breeders hygiene standards and was £150, she started as this...
and became this...
then here is my last one Rufiyaa, who was going to be put down but is now cute as a button...
My advice to you is to get a female as both of my girls have been a total dream and Rufi is turning into a hooligan already!! Also try petsforhomes site online. Make sure they have clear eyes as chlamydia in the eyes is very common in cats. Also mentioned previously, make sure the kitty is over 8 weeks for a domestic moggy and 12 for a pedigree as they are more susceptible to bacteria and germs.

The novelty of having a kitten would wear of within a couple of weeks, and if you work all day, then you would be better of with an older more independant cat, instead of a kitten who you cant take your eyes off of and when you do, you turn back around and it has got in the washing machine.....
