We have recently moved to nr okehampton nr jacobstowe/hatherleigh.I'm looking for livery for my competition gelding as we have no facilities at home and also in the hope of meeting some new horsey friends to ride with.does anyone know of anywhere?would consider out towards winkleigh, sampford courtney, north tawton or around abbeyford woods too.anything within a 6/7 mile radius really.

We have just moved to Lewdown - about 10 miles from Okehampton, but were originally trying to go buy in Hatherleigh (fell through) found Ball Hill Equestrian in Sampford Courtenay online, but don't know anything else about it.
Good Luck

Thankyou I've tired contacting them, but think its up for sale so not too sure whether their still doing livery.any other suggestions wld b great

Have you considered approaching Broomford Manor in Jacobstowe. I don't know if the current owners have horses but it probably still has some lovely facilities.
If not there is Easter Park farm (I'm afraid I don't know anything about it but is in Petrockstowe) Grange EC up at Northlew has fantastic facilities. There is Rowden farm but that may be a bit far out for you. I keep mine at a lovely place in Bridestowe, costs are reasonable although hire of indoor/outdoor school is extra. Hacking is good and you would have your own field which sometimes is not a good thing if you don't like your horse being kept on his own.
Ballhill is meant to be very nice and I would doubt that it will be sold anytime soon as the asking price is crazy seen as it was sold about 3 years ago for around 500k!!
There is a little yard at Spreyton as well that has a small indoor school not sure if you would go out that way? Will let you know if I think of anything else.

Bridestowe is quite near me and about 12 miles or so from Hatherleigh, don't know about the other place though.

The Grange Equestian centre just outside of Okehampton might be worth a try I dont know if they do liveries but they have lovely facilities Two indoor schools, Full size outdoor school. They hold lots of events at the centre. Look them up.

Rowden is near Halwill Junction, it has got a very small indoor and a really nice outdoor.

Here is a link for The Grange

It doesn't say anything about diy livery but I'm sure they do offer it....

I don't know if that link above works but that farm offers livery and it has got really fab riding around there. Don't know anything about it though just came across it when I was out for a run one day!
