I am trying to trace some information about my horse Hanningfield George, unfortunately his passport says sire and dam unknown. I have tried writing to the first registered owners on his passport but have heard nothing from them

and I've tried the allbreed pedigree website. So all I have to go on is the verbal infomation that was passed onto me when I bought him. George was born in 1999 and his sire (I believe) was a thoroughbred called Crushed Ice, and I was told that his dam was part shire which would explain the distinct lump on his forehead and the Hanningfield Prefix which I believe was a shire stud.

Just not sure if there is any way of getting any further information, or if anyone has any bright ideas?

Thanks

Yes, I owned Hanningfield grey Princess, and still own her daughter, I can honestly say I have never owned such a wonderful mare, totally stunning and very kind

This may be completely wrong, but with Hanningfield being in Essex, and the hay/straw supplier Douglas Hill breeding Shire/TB crosses near Hanningfield, I'd try giving them a call!
