Hi, I am looking at buying an old tractor and have been advised to get one with a loader on. Can these be bought seperately or do I need to get a tractor with one already on?

Many thanks

Jeni

you can buy loaders seperately but likely better value to buy job lot as you will know it is right for tractor and also consider what attachments you need for loader, fork, bucket etc.

we bought our old John Deere 2030 with a loader, it is a Quicke one, and they are very good. Some manufacturers rebadge them as their own, so even more use Quicke ones than first appear. Loader model would depend on how big a tractor you are planning on getting, ours is 75hp so a midi sized rather than a mini.

Try getting a tractor with a loader already on, they can be quite £££ when bought seperate, plus they can be a devil to get on/off even if its the right 1 for the tractor. Obvious loader brands like quickie are the 1's to go for, great loader and they do numerous models for diffrent size's of tractor.
